President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to lash out at Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) for releasing a transcript of Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.
Trump dubbed the five-term senator “Sneaky Dianne Feinstein” and accused her of committing a “possibly illegal” act:
The fact that Sneaky Dianne Feinstein, who has on numerous occasions stated that collusion between Trump/Russia has not been found, would release testimony in such an underhanded and possibly illegal way, totally without authorization, is a disgrace. Must have tough Primary!

Feinstein's fellow Democrats were quick to hit back, and they couldn't help but take a few shots at Trump in the process.
“Clearly doing something right!” tweeted House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA):
Trump has developed a habit of giving crude nicknames to those around him, including “Fake Tears Chuck Schumer.”
“Welcome to the club!” added Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL), a previous recipient of a presidential nickname:
Rep. John Garamendi (D-CA) borrowed one of the president's favorite words:
The only reason Trump is upset is that “Sneaky” Dianne Feinstein destroyed the narrative that Trump and Congressional Republicans had been spinning to sabotage the Mueller investigation. Sad! https://t.co/SbbdRA2YnI
And Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) commended Feinstein for taking matters into her own hands:
I applaud @SenFeinstein for her commitment to sharing the truth with the American people. We must avoid partisan distractions & diversions from the Russia investigation.
For her part, Feinstein denied any wrongdoing while speaking with CNN's Manu Raju. “I didn't do anything illegal,” she said. "That transcript has become so abused that time has come for people to take a look at it.”
